Where’s my crane?
Many thanks to Peter, one of our readers who sent in this series of photographs of an accident at the excavations for the Infinity tower, which at 330 metres, will be the worlds tallest twisted tower.

All is well in the pit...one moment
It seems that in early April, the foundation wall holding the water back from the mouth of the Dubai Marina began to groan and leak alerting the 100 or so workers to evacuate the site.

Then loud noises and an increase in water seepage alerts everyone
Within a short space of time the wall collapsed allowing water to flood into the site drowning all of the equipment.

The walls break and in comes the water
Excavation work on the 80 storey tower was nearing completion when there was a sharp and loud noise "We then saw sand pouring down the sides," said one of those working in the hole. The order went up to evacuate immediately and thankfully everyone got out safely.

Ah there's the crane, still standing, if a little wet
The infinity tower is based on the turning torso tower in Malmo Sweden, but it has no external support structure.
