19th acquisition for REIC
US rental group REIC (Rental Equipment Investment Corp) has acquired Aim High Equipment rental of Brighton, Colorado from owner Amy Sepin
Aim High Equipment - which runs a fleet of boom and scissor lifts as well as telehandlers - was established by Amy Sepin in 1999 to supply aerial lifts across the Denver, Colorado metro area. This followed two years working with United Rentals in the Denver area, having began her career in 1993 with Illini Hi Reach, before moving to Terex to handle West Coast sales, followed by a short stint with Webb Crane.
REIC chief executive Kevin Fitzgerald said: “Aim High has established a strong reputation of providing high quality rental equipment and services that will fit seamlessly with our existing geographic footprint for our General Rental Division. The addition of this location in Colorado will enable us to better serve our customers with additional equipment.”
Amy Sepin added: “We are elated to complete the sale of the company to REIC. Our combined teams have a common mission of providing exceptional services, and our customers and employees will benefit tremendously." - although the company web site states: “We are an independently owned and operated company, which we feel allows us to be more flexible and creative in our customer needs.”
REIC was established as a holding company in 2015 by chief executive Kevin Fitzgerald of KCE Capital. He had previously served as chief executive of Neff Rentals from 1995 to 2000. The company’s first acquisition was
Midway Rental & Power Equipment of Kalispell, Montana, since then it has made 18 acquisitions including this one and was itself
acquired by Kinderhook Industries last January. If anything, the pace of its expansion programme has increased since then, this being is eighth in 16 months, making it 19 in total.
