New flagship for ABA

UK rental company ABA Crane Hire has taken delivery of a new 180 tonne Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2. The new crane takes over as the largest model in the company’s fleet, a role previously held by a 220 tonner.

ABA’s new 180 Liebherr

The five axle LTM 1160-5.2 features a six section 62 metre main boom and a 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. Three additional seven metre lattice sections can be installed between the boom nose and swingaway for a maximum tip height of 104 metres and offers a maximum radius of 78 metres.

Managing Director Adrian Baggott said: “We are excited to add the LTM 1160-5.2 to our fleet as our flagship model. It’s 180 tonne capacity made it the right choice for our customer base and our internal logistics strategy.”

Based in Wolverhampton, central England, ABA Crane Hire began trading in 1982 and operates a fleet of All Terrain City type, truck and self-erecting mobile tower cranes along with loader cranes.
