Type approval for CPL Transits
CPL the UK subsidiary of French aerial lift manufacturer Klubb has obtained European Type Approvals for its Ford Transit van mounted work platforms.
Its 13.8 metre K38P features a two section boom topped by an articulating jib. It offers up to eight metres of outreach with 100kg in the platform, while the 200kg maximum capacity is available up to 6.5 metres. Spare cargo payload is a decent 320kg.
Managing director Paul Murphy said: “ European Type Approval is based on a series of rigorous tests and assessments that ensure the compliance of our vehicles with European regulations in terms of safety and energy efficiency. While this is extremely important, we are proud to add this accreditation to our list of approvals as it ensures customers lead times are kept to an absolute minimum, as we do not have to wait for IVA dates".

The company has also started applying the UKCA mark in addition to the CE on its 13.1 metre P130A pick up mounted platforms. The requirement for UKCA marking, rather than just the CE mark, has already been delayed several times by the UK government, and is currently set to apply on all new products sold after December 2024 See:
