Access electrocution

A man working from a scissor lift died on Tuesday after he came into contact with an overhead power line in Fort Worth, Texas.

The man - a sub-contractor - was measuring a sign in preparation for its replacement when he moved the platform too close to an overhead power line causing the power to arc through the lift and the operator.

He was rushed to hospital and then moved on to a specialist burns unit, where he was declared dead.

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
