New UK lifting & engineering consultancy

Jordan Kelly and John Baker have launched a new lifting & engineering consultancy in the UK, which they are calling Ellevo Group.

The business will be based in Warrington, north west England, and will focus on lift planning and management, heavy lift & transport consultancy, and a range of operations and engineering services including testing and inspections, on an International basis. Jordan Kelly is managing director which John Baker is commercial director.

Until last month Jordan Kelly was operations director for Notus Heavy Lift Solutions have worked with the company for almost four years. Notus was acquired by BES - British Engineering Services - last June. He started out in 2005 as a rigger, moving to Altrad in 2005 as an Appointed Person and moving up to lifting engineer before leaving for Shell where he was appointed as lifting assurance lead on a major project. He left for Notus at the start of 2020.

John Baker was sales director of Modulift until last month, having worked with the modular spreader beam company for more than six and a half years. He began his crane and heavy lifting career in 2008 with Seward Wyon, becoming sales manager before leaving after five years to set up his own company - Portquip UK - selling and servicing Terex port equipment.
