The structural damage is far greater than the pictures suggest
The structural damage, estimated in excess of €150,000 is so extensive that the house may need to be completely demolished and rebuilt. Thankfully no one was hurt in the accident.
How a foundation crane tipped over is a mystery although most likely linked to a soft platform exasperated by the extremely wet weather conditions. A ministry of labour inspection team is investigating. The crane is owned by contractor Altenburg.
