Skyworks takes Gold Coast Hi-Lift

New York state based rental company Skyworks has acquired Florida’s Gold Coast Hi-Lift which runs a predominantly aerial lift rental business from locations in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Gold Coast Hi-Lift was founded in 2001 and is owned and managed by Joe and Frank Villella it ruins a fleet if platforms and telehandlers, mostly from JLG, Genie and SkyJack, along with some earthmoving and general equipment.

Skyworks is based in Buffalo, New York and led by Jerry Reinhart, the company has been growing rapidly in the past few years, and now operates from 25 locations across the Northeast, Midwest and Southeast United States. The company already has two branches in Florida - Fort Myers and Sarasota on state’s west coast, the Gold Coast acquisition not only takes it to four but provides a presence on the east coast.

Skyworks chief executive Jerry Reinhart said: “We look forward to working with Joe and Frank Villella as well as Dillon Villella the branch manager of the Fort Lauderdale and Mark Buonomo, branch manager of West Palm Beach, and all their employees who have been with Gold Coast Hi-Lift for many years. Joe Villella will be staying on with Skyworks to oversee the operations of both the Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach locations.”
