450t for Gustav Seeland

German crane rental and heavy transport company Gustav Seeland has taken delivery of 450 tonne Grove All Terrain crane.

The six axle GMK6450-1 features a five section 60 metre main boom, and has been ordered with a special boom removal system, for lower axle weights, other features include Grove's Maxbase variable outrigger set up system, MegaWinglift superlift system and CCS operating controls. Seeland order the crane with the 79 metre luffing jib for a 136 metre maximum tip height.

The GMK6450-1 joins a Grove GMK5250XL-1 purchased last September and is now the largest crane in the company’s fleet.

Managing director Johann Evers said: “Our business is growing in all divisions, and our Grove cranes have played a key role in helping us. We’ve already seen very strong interest from our customers in the new crane.”

Hamburg based Seeland runs a fleet of All Terrain and self-erecting mobile tower cranes alongside spider and loader cranes. Established in 1932 the company has been in business for more than 90 years.
