Versalift Ireland adds FE

Versalift Ireland has taken delivery of its first five France Elévateur platforms, for mounting on local van chassis at the company’s base in Tallaght, south west Dublin.

France Elévateur came under the same ownership as Versalift last June and the companies within the group - which also includes Ruthmann, Bluelift, Movex and Aspen Aerials - are now beginning to work more closely together, particularly when it comes to local sales and product support. Last month the company announced the appointment of Laurent Leclerc as director of export sales and market strategy for the Versalift, France Elévateur, and Movex brands in Europe. Versalift Ireland was established at the start of this year.

The company said: “By establishing localised manufacturing of France Elévateur platforms, this partnership is poised to deliver tailor made solutions that align with the unique requirements of the Irish market, solidifying our position as the only manufacturer of access platforms on the Island of Ireland. Additionally, with the dedicated local after sales support provided by Versalift Ireland, customers can expect not only high quality equipment but also prompt and efficient national support, which guarantees that customers' post purchase needs are met with care and expertise.”

Vertikal Comment
This particular arrangement makes good sense and is exactly what the group needs to be doing. Elévateur already have machines in Ireland - Height for Hire purchased a good number of the 11 metre Topy mini truck mount and the 111F and 112F van mounted platforms a few years back and may well appreciate the additional support. The challenge with moves such as this is to encourage staff to treat the ‘other brand’ as seriously and with as much enthusiasm as ‘their own’ - often easier said than done.
