Big booms for Europlataformas

Europlataformas the aerial lift division of Spanish crane and access rental group Eurogruas, has taken delivery of its largest self-propelled boom lift to date, a 180ft Genie SX-180 telescopic. Part of an expansion of the top end of its fleet to meet growing demand in Spain for large boom lifts.

The SX-180 offers a maximum working height of 56.8 metres, a maximum platform capacity of 340kg and a maximum outreach of 24.4 metres. It comes with a 3.05 metre articulating jib with horizontal rotation

The largest boom in the Europlataformas fleet the new Genie SX-180


The company’s self-propelled fleet was previously topped out by a 135ft Haulotte HA43 RTJ PRO articulated boom, the latest of which arrived in September, and a 125ft Genie S 125 telescopic. At the same time Europlataformas received a 135ft Genie SX-135 telescopic with dual - 300/453kg - platform capacity.

Europlataformas 2000 is part of the Eurogruas business, which has a long history in cranes and platforms, having been formed from six partner companies in 1999 and grown at a steady pace since then. The group headquarters are in Seville, southern Spain, but the aerial lift division, which is based in Córdoba, runs an extensive fleet of self-propelled, spider lift and truck mounted lifts topped by the recent delivery of a 90 metre Ruthmann T900 HF, from 10 locations across Spain. The crane division runs around 150 All Terrain, Rough Terrain and crawler cranes with capacities up to 1,000 tonnes and also has an operation in Brazil.
