German crane and heavy transport company, G.A. Neeb, has taken delivery of a 250 tonne Grove GMK5250L-1, its third Grove All Terrain crane this year, all of which were purchased through local dealer KranAgentur Werner.
The five axle GMK5250L-1 features a 70 metre seven section boom plus a 12.5 to 21.3 metre bi-fold hydraulic luffing swingaway extension, and a four metre, heavy-duty extension integrated into the swingaway jib that offers capacities of up to 60 tonnes.
In March the company took its second 60 tonne three axle Grove GMK3060L-1, followed by a 300 tonne GMK6300L-1.
Chief executive Gustav-Armin Neeb said: “Our newest Grove crane is a perfect investment. With its second hoist, it’s ideally equipped for erecting power lines, working on wind farms, or assembling precast concrete sections on construction sites.”

Based in Wuppertal, G.A. Neeb was established by Gustav Adolf Neeb in 1961 as Neeb Salvage and Towing Service. It entered the crane rental market in 1973, when it purchased a Grove truck mounted crane. In 1991 Gustav-Armin Neeb took over the business from his father. He opened an office in Zaragoza, Spain and now operates in both Spain and Portugal, with a joint venture - Neeb-Schuch - in Montreal, Canada. The company also works with partners in Romania. Its crane fleet ranges from spider cranes to the 1,200 tonne All Terrains and crawlers as well as heavy recovery trucks.
