Based in Saarbrücken, W. Nieser & Sohn was established in 1979 when Willi Nieser and son Gerhard decided to leave the family’s electrical installation business and set up on their own, to focus more on aerial work platform rental. The company runs a 14 unit fleet of truck mounted and spider lifts up to 36 metres, along with loader cranes covering Saarland and the surrounding area.

In the 1960s and 70s Willi Nieser worked in his family’s electrical installation business, which used platforms in its work. In fact, the first Ruthmann platform Willi Nieser purchased was an iconic V80 on a VW T2 pick up chassis back in 1964.
