German rental company Bruns Schwerlast has taken delivery of a new 70 tonne Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 All Terrain crane.
The four axle LTM 1070-4.2 has a 50 metre main boom and a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. Features include Liebherr’s VarioBase and ECOmode systems and its LICCON2 controller. It can carry its swingaway and 10.7 tonnes of counterweight within 12 tonne axle loads, or 3.8 tonnes for 10 tonne axle loads.
Managing director Frank Bruns said: “The top service and the availability of spare parts were also decisive criteria for this purchase. Our collaboration with Liebherr has always worked well so far.”
The crane replaces an existing LTM 1070-4.2 and will be used in projects primarily involving concrete and steel installation and repair work on biogas plants and railway carriages. The company recently purchased a 100 tonne LTR 1100 and a 50 tonne LTM 1050-3.1, the 70 tonner is the third and final delivery.
Established in 1991 and based in Sülzetal, near Magdeburg, Bruns Schwerlast runs a fleet of mobile and loader cranes as well as a transportation division throughout Germany employing 25 people.
