UK based builders merchant Lawsons has taken delivery of 13 new 3,500kg JCB Teletruk industrial telescopic handlers.
The order includes a combination of 4.4 metre lift height 35-23D diesel models and four metre 35-22E battery electrics. Both offer a maximum capacity of 3.5 tonnes, the diesel can handle 2,600kg at its maximum forward reach of two metres, while the electric models manage 2,200kg.
The new machines join 100 other JCB Teletruks in the Lawson fleet in operation across 36 outlets in the southern half of the UK.
Daniel Hearne of Lawsons said: "We have used JCB Teletruks for over 15 years. We love the versatility of this unique machine, as you can load from one side of a truck thanks to the telescopic boom which is useful in tight spaces. The electric models bring those same qualities with zero emissions operation and will be used in our inner city, urban depots in London and the south east, where the switch to electric will help offset our carbon footprint.”
"The data from the JCB LiveLink telematic system will be particularly beneficial to our operations, aiding our fleet management, maintenance scheduling and document storage. We are excited to invest in some of the latest electric and Stage V models which we are confident will continue to help grow our business."
Established in 1921 in London, Lawsons is one of the largest independent timber, building materials and fencing merchants in the UK. The company operates from 36 locations from the English south coast to Boston in Lincolnshire.
