Geda 'Machine Management’
German hoist manufacturer Geda has launched its new ‘Machine Management’ tool, a telematics suite that connects Geda hoists and other products with its online platform, ’Geda Central System’ providing users wiht an overview of their equipment and its location at any time.
The platform also provides real time data and a breakdown of usage durations and times. There is also a feature which allows rental companies to disable the equipment, due to rental contract termination or non payment. The company says it should also reduce call outs by up to 80% percent.
Geda has been installing ‘transfer modules’ for its ‘Geda IoT (Internet of Things) as standard equipment, machines built before that time can be retrofitted.
The company has also launched the ‘Geda Academy’, where there are step by step guides and video instructions for activating the new digital services along with E-learning modules and other training content.
The company said: “As another new addition to Geda Central, Geda academy offers simple step by step instructions on activation in Geda Machine Management and installation of the Geda IoT Box Standard which is available 24/7. If you’re interested in an in person session with the Geda training team, you simply arrange an appointment using the new tool.”
