German rental company Schares has taken delivery of a 100 tonne Tadano AC 4.100L-1 All Terrain crane.
The four axle AC 4.100L-1 features a six section, 60 metre main boom, topped by a 10 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway with up to 40 degrees of offset. An 8.1 metre insert can be installed between the boom nose and swingaway to provide a maximum tip height of 85 metres. The maximum counterweight is 24.5 tonnes, of which up to 6.1 tonnes can be carried on-board within 12 tonne axle loads.
The handover
Managing director, Christoph Schares said: “Its powerful lifting capacity, combined with a 59.4 metre long main boom and an axle load lower than the 12 tonne limit, makes it an extremely cost effective taxi crane.”
Eric Reichmann of Schares added: “It goes without saying that the AC 4.100L 1 is also perfect for erecting large cranes.”

The crane will be used for civil engineering projects, steel construction work and within the chemical industry.
Schares operates from headquarters in Bocholt, North Rhine-Westphalia, and has a fleet of All Terrain cranes up to 500 tonnes along with spider cranes, mobile self-erecting tower cranes and wide range of aerial work platforms with a work force of 100 employees.
