UK rental company Crane Hire Solutions (CHS) has taken delivery of a 13 tonne Kato CR-130Rv city type All Terrain crane. The unit was purchased through the Kato distributor, Rivertek.
Kato completed an extensive upgrade of this model in December last year which features a six section 24 metre boom topped by a 3.6 to 5.5 metre hydraulic luffing jib, offsettable by 60 degrees for a maximum tip height of just less than 32 metres. A three tonne searcher hook is also standard equipment.
The crane’s overall length on the road is just under 7.5 metres, with an overall width of 1.99 metres and overall height of 2.87 metres. Total weight is only 13.83 tonnes, split roughly evenly between the two axles.

Keith Morgan, managing director of CHS said: “We have owned and operated Kato for many years and we are delighted to add a new Kato city crane to our rental fleet. We are really happy with the service and back up service from Rivertek so it was an easy decision for us to make."
Ivan Bolster of Rivertek added: "As always, it's a pleasure to deal with Keith and Sue at CHS. We wish CHS continued success with this new Kato CR-130Rv added to their fleet and we look forward to supporting this crane into the future.”
The new crane will work alongside two other Kato city cranes that CHS has purchased over the past couple of years. Based in Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire, Crane Hire Solutions runs a fleet of All Terrain, truck and spider cranes.
