Missouri, US based contractor and crane rental company Budrovich Contracting Co has taken delivery of a 110 tonne Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2 All Terrain, the first of two units due to arrive this spring along with a 230 tonne LTM 1230-5.1.
The five axle crane is equipped with Liebherr’s new Liccon 3 control system and features a seven section, 60 metre main boom, topped by a 10.8 to 19 metre bifold swingaway extension that can be offset by up to 40 degrees. Two extra inserts can be added between boom nose and extension to provide a maximum tip height of 96 metres.
This is the first LTM 1110-5.2 with Liccon3 to arrive in the United States.
Sam Harper of Budrovich said: “Liebherr’s willingness to train our operators and mechanics along with the successful implementation of recent Liebherr cranes into our fleet have been an invaluable factor in our purchasing process.”
Founded in 1945 and based in St Louis, Budrovich is comprised of nine business units, which include crane rental, excavating, land development, site utilities, marine services and mechanical insulation. According to Liebherr, it runs the largest rental fleet in the St Louis area with more than 100 Rough Terrains, crawlers and truck cranes ranging from 8.5 to 550 tonnes.
