Welsh rental company Davies Crane Hire has taken delivery of the first 110 tonne Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2 to be based in Wales and a second 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1 All Terrain.
The five axle LTM 1110-5.2 is equipped with Liebherr’s new Liccon 3 control system and features a seven section, 60 metre main boom topped by a 10.8 to 19 metre bifold swingaway extension that can be offset by up to 40 degrees. Two extra inserts can be added between boom nose and extension to provide a maximum tip height of 96 metres.
The three axle LTM 1060-3.1 crane is equipped with a six section, 48 metre boom topped by a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which takes the maximum tip height to more than 67 metres, while also offering up to 40 degrees of offset. The crane can carry all its 12.8 tonnes of counterweight within the UK’s STGO regulations, which allow axle loads of up to 16.5 tonnes.
Director Neil Davies said: “We are regularly adding more Liebherr cranes to our fleet as the brand is a firm favourite with our operators and customers due to their impressive versatility and capabilities.”
