37m Ruthmann for Skylift

Nationwide Skylift has taken delivery of its first 37 metre Ruthmann T370 Truck mounted platform. The new unit is one of five T370s that Nationwide Access has purchased as part of its £4 million - 47 unit investment in new truck mounted lifts for Skylift.

Nationwide's new Ruthmann T370

The new Ruthmann has some key features that attracted Nationwide, including variable jacking widths, a 500 kg maximum platform capacity, an extendable basket from 2.3 metres up to 3.6metres and its 30 metre maximum outreach (with 100kg capacity).

Peter Douglas, Nationwide’s commercial director, said: “This latest machine addition to the Skylift fleet further proves Nationwide Skylift’s commitment to customers needs and provides us with some good features that our current fleet of 34 – 44 metre Brontos do not have.”

The extending basket

“These include the extending cage and the second jib that can be raised vertically, this will be of particular use for bridge inspection work. The first hire went very smoothly where the machine worked for six days at the Open Golf Championship in Carnoustie.”
