UK rental company DSM Contract Lifting has delivery of its fourth 12 tonne Böcker AK 52 truck crane.
Mounted on a 32 tonne four axle chassis with rear steering axle, the AK 52 features a four section main boom plus a three section luffing jib for a 52 metre tip height. Its optional three metre extension takes the maximum tip height to 55 metres.
Maximum radius is 45 metres and it can take three tonnes out to 17 metres with a height of 31 metres. Features include wireless remote controls with colour screen, automatic levelling and fully variable outrigger set up and monitoring.
DSM managing director Melvyn Rogers said: “At DSM we understand the Böcker products very well, our clients like their reach, quick set-up and safety features. Another AK 52 was necessary to keep up with demand.”
“We are thrilled with the new machine which takes us up to four AK 52 cranes, which most likely is the largest stock of this machine anywhere! The crane has been busy since it came home and I’m really looking forward to receiving the next two units on order from Böcker UK over the next six months. Placing an order for three cranes in total was an easy decision and is also a testament to the strength of the relationship between DSM Contract Lifting and Böcker.”
Established in 2017 and based in Bowers Gifford in Essex, DSM runs a fleet of truck mounted cranes, All Terrains, spiders, loader cranes and fork lifts operating in southeast England.
