Scottish crane rental and steel erection company Johnston Rigging Fife has taken delivery of a 40 tonne LTM 1040-2.1 All Terrain crane, the tenth Liebherr crane to join the fleet.
The two axle crane has a four section, 35 metre full power main boom which can handle 7.4 tonnes at full extension or take 1.1 tonnes out to its maximum radius of 31 metres. A 9.5 metre swingaway extension takes the maximum tip height to almost 44 metres.
Director, Guy Johnston commented: “We are delighted to take delivery of our tenth Liebherr crane marking a significant milestone for our business. We operate in a fast paced, demanding environment and therefore must ensure we operate reliable kit and that’s why we’ve stuck by Liebherr over the years.”
Established in 2001, family owned and managed Johnston Rigging is based in Glenrothes, Fife, and provides a range of services from erecting all manner of steel frame structures to its crane rental service with a small fleet of All Terrain cranes from 40 to 70 tonnes - mostly from Liebherr.
