New national accounts manager for Mec

US aerial lift manufacturer Mec has appointed Pete Gibbes as national account manager.

In his new role Gibbes will be responsible for developing relationships with existing national accounts, while building partnerships with new customers across North America. He will work in a two man team alongside Ethan Waller who was also appointed the same role in April. Gibbes joins the company from Genie where he has been a regional sales manager for the past six years.

Gibbes began his career in 1995 as a location manager at American supermarket chain Winn-Dixie, in 1999 he made the move to the equipment business joining Hertz Equipment Rental as sales representative. After four years with the company, he moved to a similar role at United Rentals where becoming branch manager and then district manager before making the move to a manufacturer, starting with Genie in 2018.

Vice president of sales Paul Waller said: “Pete brings a wealth of experience, and we are excited for him to join our team. His longevity in the industry, combined with his passion for building strong customer relationships will be instrumental in driving our partnerships and our business forward together.”

Gibbes added: “I am excited to be a part of the Mec team and contribute to the company’s growth strategy.”
