CTE UK MD on the move

The managing director of CTE UK, Craig Rooke, is to leave the company at the end of the month, for a new challenge.

He joined the company in September 2018 as general manager following the retirement of Graeme Hill and was promoted to managing director the following year. Prior to joining CTE he had spent a year with Danish spider lift manufacturer Falcon following five years with Teupen where he was sales director for the UK and Ireland.

CTE chief operating officer Marco Govoni said: “I can only thank Craig Rooke for the great contribution given as a professional but first and foremost as a loyal and reliable man, I wish my friend Craig all the best for the new challenge. At the same time, in the last weeks we are working on a new organisational structure capable of maintain the highest standard of service and customer support and to be announced before the end of the month “

His dedication and leadership have been invaluable to our success”

Rooke responded: “I have to thank first Lorenzo and Marco for the opportunity they gave me back in 2018 to take over the role at CTE UK. I am also grateful to Marco for allowing me the freedom to run the business as I saw correct without interference, his support has made him to date my best boss I could ever wish to work with, and I will miss him for sure. The whole of CTE welcomed me with open arms from day one and have been amazing with their support too and the passion they have for CTE is first class.”

Vertikal Comment

Craig Rooke has made this job his own, but as he approaches 50 next year is understandably looking for a new challenge. Given his history and experience and clear love for the powered access industry we would not be at all surprised to see him pop up again somewhere within the powered access or associated market sectors.
