Chinese construction equipment manufacturer Liugong has appointed Glyn Goodwin as aerial work platforms sales manager for Liugong UK. His role will be to step up the company’s presence in the UK market and increase its sales coverage.
He joins the company after 18 months or so with UK sales and service company Access Platform Sales (APS) where he was sales manager.
Goodwin has spent his entire career in the access industry, having started out in the 1980s with Instant Zip-Up, which later became UpRight UK, leaving in 2000 to work with AJ Access as sales manager. Five years later, he moved to Genie UK, where he was appointed as equipment sales manager for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, taking over from John Fuller in 2008 as Genie’s sales manager for the UK and Ireland.
In late 2009, he left Genie to set up his business, Liftright Access, selling the business to Garry Fleckney in 2011 after which he was hired by Skyjack as its European used equipment sales manager. After six years in the role, he Skyjack for the UK Genie dealer Workplatform, where he was business development manager, moving to sales and rental company Hird in 2020, and finally APS two years later.

Liugong was established in 1958 in Liuzhou, northern China and now has 20 manufacturing facilities, 14,000 employees and 300 dealers in 170 countries.
