US rigging manufacturer Peerless Chain - part of Kito Crosby - has opened a new facility at its plant in Winona, Minnesota.

The multi million dollar project, which has taken several years to complete, includes a continuous plating system used on the chain production lines. The new system adds a proprietary coating to the chain that prevents rust and corrosion. It also features an automated monitoring system and increased air handling systems. The plant is heavily vertically integrated, converting the basic raw material into the finished product onsite.
All employees were invited to the formal opening ceremony

Peerless president George Kosidowski said: “This investment will enhance our internal processes, and improve our service levels to customers and scale our operations to cope with increasing demand."
