Chinese aerial lift and telehandler manufacturer Sinoboom, has appointed Rik Kiddle as European sales director, with responsibility for increasing sales of the company’s aerial lifts and possibly telehandlers through direct relationships and its distributor network.
His initial focus will be to develop major key accounts across the region, whilst also adding to the company’s dealer network in order to increase the manufacturer’s commercial footprint across the region.

Kiddle joined the company in the middle of last month after almost five years with powder equipment processing company British Rema, where he was general manager. He began his career in 1990 when he joined JCB, working his way up through the ranks, to become regional manager - Central & Southern Europe, followed by increasingly senior sales and export roles and became general manager of industrial and recycling sales. In 2015, after 25 years with JCB, he moved to Terex Finlay, part of the Terex Material Processing division, initially as global business development director, sales director and then sales & marketing director, leaving for British Rema in late 2019.
Speaking of his new role Kiddle said, “I am extremely excited to be joining Sinoboom Europe at such an important stage of development for the business. Having spent many years in the Construction & Aggregate Processing industries, I am looking forward to immersing myself into the aerial lift business, re-acquainting myself with many customers and further developing the Sinoboom European presence and market share.”
Sinoboom Europe chief executive Richard Butler who worked with Kiddle at JCB added: “Rik’s appointment is a key element of our wider European strategic plan, to grow our market share and provide both our existing and new customers, exceptional levels of service and support but more importantly to make doing business with Sinoboom as easy as possible. He brings an immense amount of experience to our Sinoboom Europe team, and I know that he will have an immediate impact as we develop both our direct sales and distribution channels across the region.”
