Teupen has appointed Andreas Bub as sales manager for Central and Eastern Germany - postcode areas 0, 1, 2 and 3 to be more precise - the same territory that he covered for Skyjack for almost six years.
Bub had an unusual career path for a powered access salesman having started out in 1997 as a trainee banker with Norddeutsche Landesbank Braunschweig. Over the next couple of decades he worked with a number of similar institutions, before changing tack completely in 2016 with a move to Northeim based crane and access rental company W. Schnitger, where he landed a job as a sales manager, leaving after two years to join Skyjack Germany as regional sales manager for Central and Eastern Germany. At the end of 2023 he accepted an opportunity to return to the rental market with Dortmund based access rental company BSI, but appears to prefer working with manufacturers, given the move to Teupen.
Teupen chairman Martin Borutta said: "We are delighted to welcome Andreas Bub, a highly motivated and successful industry professional, to the Teupen sales team. The combination of his experience and skills, along with our new Leo's with 24, 27 and 33 metre spider lifts, will certainly help increase our market share."
Bub added: "When one door closes, another opens. I am very pleased that it was the Teupen door. With fantastic products in my usual territory, I can continue to maintain my existing contacts and also build new ones."
Teupen is owned by American truck mounted crane and aerial lift manufacturer Altec, which acquired the German company in April, and as a result the company is now branded Altec Teupen.
