Thai dealer for Gehl telehandlers

Manitou Asia has appointed Pin Siam as its distributor in Thailand for Gehl Compact Equipment, including Telehandlers.

Pin Siam was established in 1997 initially selling used equipment, spare parts and then offering maintenance and repair service for heavy machinery. It began selling new equipment in 2014 and now offers products from Dynapac, Hyundai excavators and Hidromek graders and excavators and other equipment. Based in Pathum Thani on the north side of Bangkok it also operates from locations in Wang Noi, Lampang, Hat Yai, Udon Thani, and Surin.

Managing director Kirk Burapachaisri said: "At Pin Siam, we focus on representing equipment brands that are known for their high quality, reliability, and efficiency, and Gehl meets all these criteria. Although telehandlers, skid steer loaders, and backhoe loaders have not yet gained significant traction in the market, we recognise their potential. While promoting these products in Thailand presents its challenges, the market remains less saturated compared to other heavy equipment categories, such as excavators. We are dedicated to establishing ourselves as the leading provider in these machine categories over the long term."

Manitou acquired US based Gehl in 2008 and has been bringing the companies closer together in recent years, this is the second new Gehl distributor announcement in the region in the past few weeks, having appointed Tuyet Nga (TNC) in Vietnam in August.
