Layher expands

Layher UK has added almost 5,000 square metres of extra covered space to its premises in Letchworth as well as significantly increasing the volumes of System scaffold that it holds in stock.

The expansion includes a 2,250 square metre addition and the taking back of a 2,500 metre facility that was previously sublet to a tenant. The extra space will include a dedicated Head Office based training centre and additional internal storage.

Layher has substantially increased its inventory of system scaffold components

Managing director Sean Pike said:
“The increasing use of modular system scaffolding in general in this country has combined with the success of both our established equipment and new products that we have recently introduced to create ever growing customer demand,”

“This has meant that we are committed to ensuring that our delivery and support capability remains second to none which, in terms of stockholding, has prompted us to improve the facility that we already have at Letchworth, and at our facility in Livingston, Scotland – which will also benefit from an extension to yard and office facilities.

“We are confident that this will allow us to react even more quickly to customer requirements and, together with the creation of the new dedicated training centre alongside, means we are now better placed than ever to maintain our success long into the future,” he added.
