Marsden takes two

UK rental company Marsden Crane Hire has taken delivery of two new Liebherr All Terrain cranes, a 40 tonne LTM 1040-2.1 and a 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1, with two further Liebherr cranes arriving next year.

The two axle LTM 1040-2.1 has a four section, 35 metre full power main boom which can handle 7.4 tonnes at full extension or take 1.1 tonnes out to its maximum radius of 31 metres. A 9.5 metre swingaway extension takes the maximum tip height to almost 44 metres.

The three axle LTM 1060-3.1 crane is equipped with a six section 48 metre boom, topped by a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which takes the maximum tip height to more than 67 metres, while also offering up to 40 degrees of offset. The crane can carry all its 12.8 tonnes of counterweight within the UK’s STGO regulations which allows axle loads of up to 16.5 tonnes.

Marsden managing director Lee Marsden said: “The Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1 quickly established itself as our standard two-axle all-terrain crane. With multiple units in our fleet, we can now offer our customer base the best small all-terrain crane on the market, all provided with excellent VarioBase and remote control options.”

Based in Wigan, the company was established in 2015 by brothers Brendan, Dale and Lee Marsden and runs a fleet of All Terrain up to 90 tonnes, city type All Terrains, spider and mini crawler cranes, as well as aluminium truck cranes.
