Pick up and scissor
Three men were injured earlier this week while working from a scissor lift on construction of a new terminal for Pittsburgh International Airport in Pennsylvania.
The incident on Wednesday was caused by a pick up truck crashing into a scissor lift with two men in the platform, causing it to overturn. The two were taken to hospital for treatment, as far as we know escaped serious injury. The pick up driver was checked out, having suffered a ‘medical incident’.
A spokesman for the airport said: "Safety and security are always the top priority at the Allegheny County Airport Authority and our safety teams are investigating the incident. Airport operations were unaffected."
