Finnish aerial lift manufacturer Leguan Lifts, has appointed Spider Lift Asia as its new distributor in Singapore, replacing Jebsen & Jessen Technology.
Leguan has chosen Spider Lift Asia for its contacts in sectors such as tree care and landscaping, including key projects like the Singapore Botanical Gardens. In preparation for the transition between distributors, a “comprehensive distributor training” session was held last month for Spider lift Asia staff. The company has also sold its first Leguan lift, a 22.5 metre 225 spider lift, the largest model in the current Leguan line up.
Spider Lift chief executive and owner Mark Guah said: "Leguan produces some of the best spider lifts in the world with unrivalled rough terrain capabilities and user friendly joystick controls with smart features. These lifts are an excellent option for tree care companies and rental projects.”
Jori Mylläri, Leguan vice president sales & marketing added: "Our previous distributor increasingly focused on different machinery sectors, which lead us to partner with Spider Lift Asia, a company with a stellar reputation for customer care and after sales support. We are expanding our distribution network in the Asian market and are actively seeking companies with a professional approach to introducing spider lifts in their own regions."
Mark Guah founded Spider Lift Asia in 2009, specifically to sell and rental high reach spider lifts in Singapore. The company is the Teupen distributor and also handles Almac self-propelled tracked platforms, CMC spider lifts and includes Genie and JLG booms and scissor lifts in its fleet. Guah has spent most of his career so far in the access industry having set up a rental division for Chiyoda Sangyo International in 2000, leaving after eight years for Sky Access International, opening his own business the following year.
