John Paul's 75th

Irish construction company John Paul Construction is celebrating 75 years in business and a 50 year partnership with Liebherr.

Liebherr’s Stéfanie Wohlfarth, Marco Guariglia and Daniel Hieronimus joined the celebrations in Ireland and presented the company with a painting by a Biberach artist and followed up with visits to two projects in the Dublin area, the Harcourt Square Complex and the Dublin Docklands where nine of John Paul’s Liebherr cranes are working. They were joined by Mark Evans and Jarlath O'Leary of Liebherr dealer Armorum.

The cranes on the Harcourt Square job include three 12 tonne 340 EC-B 12s, a 10 tonne 202 EC-B 10 Litronic, and one 10 tonne 200 EC-H 10 Litronic with free standing hook heights ranging from 57 to 82.2 metres.

At Dublin Docklands four cranes are working on the Castleforbes apartment buildings, they include a 16 tonne 370 EC-B 16 Fibre, delivered in March, the first fibre rope tower crane in Ireland, it has a 52.8 metres under hook height, with a 40 metre jib. The other three cranes include two 12 tonne 340 EC-B 12s with 52.8 metres under hook, and a 12 tonne 280 EC-H 12 Litronic.

John Paul managing director Liam Kenny said: "Our Liebherr tower cranes have been a mainstay on John Paul Construction projects in Ireland for well over 50 years now. I’m certain that partnerships such as this are one of the main reasons both Liebherr and John Paul Construction are around to celebrate 75 years in business this year.”

Established in 1949 and based in Dublin, John Paul specialises in a range of construction projects, including data centres, residential health care facilities, commercial buildings, infrastructure and energy. The company also has offices in London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
