XCMG -UK AWP/telehandler distribution

Chinese manufacturer XCMG has confirmed the termination of its UK/Ireland Aerial Work Platform and telehandler distribution agreement with Genesis Equipment.

The XCMG statement is as follows: “This decision is based on the company's strategic development considerations and aims to further optimise product distribution network, improve service efficiency and better meet the needs of its customers in the UK and Ireland. Since the beginning of the cooperation, XCMG and Genesis have made a lot of achievements in promoting the XCMG brand and expanding the market.”

"Genesis has made during its partnership with XCMG and wish it succeeds in its future development. XCMG will continue to support Genesis on any future order as a customer.”

The move comes around 18 months after the two companies [news41623](signed the distribution contract). During which time the two have had some considerable success, especially with larger machines.

It comes around six weeks after Genesis owner Ballyvesey Holdings announced the merger of three of its UK operations - GB Plant/Contract Plant Rental, Norwest Plant and Genesis Equipment Sales into a new operation - Contract Plant.
