Planet is already established in the aluminium and fibreglass scaffold market and will hold an extensive Inventory of standard components at its brand new 22,000 sq ft site in Wakefield.
The Instant and Zip-Up product ranges have until now been distributed in the UK by an Instant/UpRight company store in Telford assisted by a number of local retail dealers.
Marshall said: “This is an excellent opportunity for both companies to further develop the Instant business in the UK market. There is a good fit between the two companies and we believe this appointment will enhance our service and provide greater support and back-up going forward”.
Vertikal Comment
This looks like a good move for Instant saving on overhead costs which were previously shared with its powered access sales and service business.
Planet is stepping up its sales efforts and adding a wide range of additional access products to its range. The Instant distribution will add a further aspect to its activities giving it new inroads into a number of general rental businesses both large and small.
All in all a win win deal
