Under-bridge lift teeters
A Cramer truck mounted Under-bridge Inspection platform operated by EPL Access was involved in a road accident in the early hours of the Thursday the 25th October.
The vehicle ran into the parapet of a bridge on which it had previously been working, coming to rest with the front of the vehicle overhanging a field.

The under-bridge unit teeters over the bridge parapet
No other vehicles were involved and no one was injured it is not certain how the accident occurred but investigations are continuing.
The road next to the Crook O'Lune car park had been closed overnight while the maintenance work was carried out. EPL said that the platform had been about to leave the site after successfully completing its task which the incident happened.

An Ainscough crane came to the rescue of the stricken lift
The Cramer under-bridge unit has a GVW of over 30 tonnes and can reach up to 10 metres below the roadway with a platform of up to 20 metres and a capacity of 900kgs
A six axle Liebherr All Terrain crane was called in to rescue the Cramer unit, the machine was placed back on the road late on Thursday.
