Crane tips in Phoenix
A lattice truck mounted crane rigged with 50 metres of main boom tipped over on a hospital construction site in Phoenix yesterday. Two people, including the 56 year old crane operator received minor injuries.
The cranes boom narrowly missed a large oxygen tank as it came down on a building at the John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital.

Thankfully no one was hurt
The crane operator was reported to have lifted a 20 tonne load over the rear of the crane and was slewing over the side when the accident happened. Video footage from the scene clearly shows that not all of the cranes outrigger beams were fully extended.
The accident is under investigation.
