Stuck
Two workmen had to call in the emergency services yesterday in Liverpool when the aerial lift they were working in stopped working stranding them in the air.
Sadly we have no information on what caused the failure, the most common is of course running out of fuel.
The two were working in the city centre Q-Park car park off Paradise Street at 8.30pm last night when they became stuck. They were rescued by firemen with an aerial platform
Why the machines emergency lowering system was not used is anyone’s guess and could be of interest. Did they know it existed? Did it not work? Or was it too cumbersome to use in the circumstances?
If anyone has more details on this incident it could provide some helpful training tips for others.
