Sevcon up 13%
Tech Ops-Sevcon the supplier of microprocessor motor controls for aerial lifts, fork trucks and zero emission vehicles has reported full fiscal year revenues to the end of September of $39.2 million and increase of 13 percent on last year.
Seven percent of the increase came from higher volumes while six percent came from a currency gain as Sterling and Euro sales are translated into dollars.
Operating income increased 12 percent to $2.06 million, held back by a $545,000 currency loss from sales of components manufactured in sterling but sold in North America in dollars. Without the currency loss operating income would have been up 41 percent.
Pre Tax profits increased 15 percent to $1.99 million, while net income was up 17 percent at $1,303,000.
