Baltic Maeda

Kranlyft, the European master distributor for Maeda mini cranes has appointed UAB Agratekas as the Maeda distributor for Lithuania and Latvia.

Agratekas is part of the UK based Stronga Group and is based in the village of Serksnenai near Mazeikiai, Lithuania. It was established in 2001 as a sales and rental company specialising in new and used agricultural and construction equipment.

It is offering Maeda cranes for both sale and rent in order to develop the market for this type of equipment. The company is due to open a new location in Latvia in the coming months offering the same range of products and services as it does in Lithuania.

Hertfordshire based Stronga manufactures trailers and telehandler attachments, including work platforms.

Arturas Andrekus, managing director of Agratekas, said:“ Myself and my staff are absolutely delighted to become a distributor for this very exciting quality product range. Already potential clients have responded positively to this appointment and we are confident that we can provide a service for both sales and hire depending on each client's requirements.”

“With much activity in the building sector we consider there is a requirement for this very flexible range of mini cranes which are suitable for many applications - especially when access can be a problem.”

John Baxter, who is based in UK added: “Collaboration with companies like Kranlyft is exactly the direction our business wants to take especially with a quality product range for which there is a real demand due to its flexibility and design. From my knowledge of the market and the uses of this machine in for example the UK I can see a tremendous future for the same in Lithuania and Latvia.”
