Cramo and Skanska sign aerial lift deal
Skanska Sweden has appointed Cramo as its main supplier for all types of aerial lift equipment.
The agreement is aimed primarily at Skanska’s operations in Sweden, but is expected to spread to Skanska companies in other Nordic countries. The initial annual volume is estimated to amount €6.5 million.
Erik Bengtsson, regional manger of Cramo Sverige said: "Cramo won the contract in a bid offer in competition with all access rental companies in Sweden. The major reason is most certainly our ability to deliver a complete range of various lifts, in combination with the fact that we have depots at over 100 locations throughout Sweden. But Cramo’s well established long-term relations with Skanska in other fields also played a role."
Skanska believes that by renting all of its aerial lift equipment under one contract, it will benefit from more efficient administration and a better control of both price levels and utilisation.
Mikael Nilsson, responsible access equipment at Skanska Sverige said: "On top of the economical considerations we have paid much attention to the suppliers’ focus of safety questions, and their work with environmental and quality issues."
"Our analysis is that Cramo possess the resources and the product range that is needed to meet our requirements and needs."
The initial contract runs until the end of 2009.
