MEC appoints Citron
MEC Aerial Work Platforms has appointed industry veteran Steve Citron as its director of business development.
Citron is probably best known for the 20 years he spent at Genie Industries where he had various project and product management responsibilities. He also worked at Bil-Jax, the aerial lift and scaffold producer, where he was director of business development.

He began working with MEC last year in order to help develop the company’s new self propelled boom range that it plans to launch at the ARA and Conexpo.
David White, president of MEC Manufacturing said: "Steve brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and proven capability to our organization and we are very pleased with the current direction and plan that has been developed. Steve and our other lift industry veterans have leveraged their collective talents and have created significant synergies here at MEC that will definitely take our company to the next level...and the level beyond."
Citron adds: "MEC has an excellent reputation and is well recognised for producing high quality, robust aerial work platforms for the construction industry. We have developed an exceptional plan based on solid business fundamentals that will position MEC as a leading full line, world class manufacturer of aerial work platforms in the near term.”
“We have secured a substantial line of credit to fund our aggressive plans and we anticipate significant growth throughout the future. I am very excited about this incredible opportunity to create a self-propelled boom organization from the ground up and really do it right - it's challenging but also a lot of fun... this is what I love to do."
