Not a crane or platform but…
A concrete pump tipped over and blocked a street in Worthing, East Sussex yesterday Passers-by watched in amazement as the pump tilted gradually as the pavement collapsed under a rear stabiliser leg.
There was no signs of any decent outrigger mats or cribbing having been used under the outriggers of the machine, owned by South Coast concrete pumping of Fareham, Hampshire.

No one was hurt and the area was immediately evacuated after the incident in Crescent Road, Worthing. One man who witnessed the event said: "I was standing behind the truck and saw cracks forming in the ground. Then the truck began tilting and the arm moved. For a split second I thought 'That's it' as the arm swung over. I thought it would come down on me. Then it touched down on one of the buildings. I feel lucky to be alive."
The road remained closed until a crane was brought in to recover the pump.
