Morgen Est invests in Sennebogen cranes

Infrastructure services provider Morgan Est has recently purchased five Sennebogen lattice boom crawler cranes from UK distributor E H Hassell. The machines include one 650HD, two 680HD and two 6100HD the first machines of this type in the UK.

Donald Steele, Morgan Est mechanical plant manager, said: “The partnership with Morgan Est, E H Hassell and Sennebogen has been tremendous in developing a product capable of operating across all Morgan Est divisions, adding increased safety, productivity and cost effectiveness to our business.”

Morgan Est has also ordered a further seven new cranes, for delivery in 2008. These include two 680HD and three 650HD lattice boom crawler cranes and also two 683HD telescopic crawler cranes.

The 6100HD is powered by a Cat 354Kw engine and features a hydraulically extendable undercarriage. With a main boom of 52.3 metres and an auxiliary jib for loads up to 12 tons this machine is fitted with a 36 tonne rear counter weight, a 15 tonne car body counterweight and 2 x 16 kN winches.

The 650HD series C machine is the latest series introduced by Sennebogen approximately 18 months ago. With a nominal 50 tons capacity and 2 x 12 tonne winches, this machine features a hydraulically retractable undercarriage for easier transportation.

Morgan Est also took delivery of 2 x 680HD lattice boom crawler cranes which feature a hydraulically extendable undercarriage. With a main boom length of 48.5 metres these machines included an auxiliary jib for loads up to 12 tonnes.

All five machines supplied were specified with Wylie safe load indicator with data logger and slew restrictor and a hydraulically elevated C270 type, F2000 cabin.
Additionally, Morgan Est specified further equipment which included camera systems, anti-vandal guard system, additional lighting and special tunnel light system.
