New TC2800-1 for Port Services
Port Services (Invergordon) has invested £4 million in a 1,000 tonne Terex Demag TC2800-1 lattice boomed truck crane for its new Aberdeen division to service the oil and gas sectors.
The new company, Port Services (Aberdeen), has been set up by the
Invergordon based logistics specialist in recognition of its rapidly expanding operations in the north east.

Services offered by the company, which will operate out of a new three-acre facility in Altens East, include heavy lifting, project management, transport and port management and marine services.
The recently purchased TC2800-1 will be based at the Aberdeen site, and according to managing director Steve Clark, “it the first time that a crane of this capability has been located in north east Scotland.”

And from the rear
In addition to superior lifting power, it has a number of other enhanced capabilities, including being able to operate in greater wind speeds.
“Our core business is serving the oil and gas industry and we intend to
dedicate this machine to this sector,” adds Clark.
“We believe the purchase of this mobile heavy lifting machine will further strengthen our position in the marketplace and allow Port Services to offer even more innovative, time saving and economical solutions to our clients.”
The Aberdeen will also take delivery of a new 500 tonne class crane towards the end of the year.
