An advance glimpse of the ARA
The Rental show opens later today in Las Vegas, we bring you a very brief glimpse at some of the new products on display.
In the registration area who did we see but Dirk Naessens, who recently sold DK Rental to the Lavendon Group and is now looking to expand the groups used equipment sales activities.

He was with John Ball of Easi UpLifts of Ireland, another champion of used equipment sales from its fleet. They were both talking to Dale Roesner, senior vice president of Aerial lifts and telehandlers are H&E Equipment Services.
We also managed to get a glimpse of the new SkyJack SJ66T, the 66ft telescopic boom with jib, we will bring you the details on this new lift as soon as we can after the show opens, in the meantime it certainly looks to be a well designed solid machine.

On the Bil Jax stand is the locally built Power Tower, made under licence from CTE-UK, and named the PT10 in Bil Jax format. Bil Jax is looking too test the American market for push around lifts at the ARA as is Pop Up Products. Bil Jax is also showing its new 45XA self propelled boom lift with outriggers.

On the Snorkel this was the first chance to see the re-launched UpRight AB46E and RT, Snorkel engineers have ‘Snorkalised’ the original AB design adding numerous improvements and items such as a Snorkel type Platform. The changes have made a significant improvement to the AB46 and the Snorkel colour scheme looks good on this machine.

The revamped Snorkel/UpRight AB46RT
Airtrax was setting up today with three machines featuring its omni directional wheels. It is looking to test response from rental houses. It says that it has designed the machines from scratch and has not used anything from its ill fated partnership with MEC.
MEC not only has its new boom on show but is also launching a new 4x4 direct electric drive scissor lift.
Genie has its new TraX machine on display, we can now tell you that this model is not in fact the same as the Loegering model shown at last yeas ARA.

The Loegering convertible system at last years ARA
The new model does use the Loegering track system, but the four track units are permanently fitted, unlike the Loegering model, which is still offered, which can be both retrofitted in the field and converted back for jobs where wheels are best. The benefits of the new fixed design include a narrower overall width and easier transportation.

Aichi has both of its new Scissors on display along with its new 46ft boom.
Nifty has no totally new products but is this year showing machines in both its usual Nifty green alongside its American Nifty Yellow.
