Following the appointment, Gray will also join Finning Group UK’s executive team and stresses that his main priority is to introduce a ‘culture of ownership’ within the business for all safety, health, environmental and quality-related issues.
Gray said: “We need everyone across Finning in the UK to recognise that safety, health, the environment and quality, is everyone’s business. By doing this, we can continue to build on our already impressive record and improve standards right across the business.”
Gray was previously employed by the Environment Agency, responsible for regulatory policies and for modernising the way the agency regulates business. Prior to which he held a number of senior positions in health and safety in chemical, engineering and nuclear sectors.
