Crane topples in St Louis
An 80 tonne All Terrain crane tipped over in St Louis yesterday, blocking a main road. Thankfully no one was hurt in the accident.
The Crane was one of three cranes lowering a 60 ton beam from a bridge they were dismantling. Local reports say that one of the sling clamps slipped causing to excess load to be transferred to the fallen crane less than two metres from the ground.

The contractor said that fallen crane, a Grove GMK 4085 owned by Budrovich crane rental, was lifted upright and was apparently able to move out of the way under its own steam although it suffered serious damage including a bent lift cylinder.
